​COVID-19 PREPAREDNESS PLAN FOR TREE OF LIFE HEALING LLC

Tree of Life Healing LLC is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for all clients.  To ensure that, I have developed the following COVID-19 Preparedness Plan that follows the industry guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) guidelines, Minnesota Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MNOSHA) standards related to COVID-19 and Minnesota Executive Order 20-74 & 20-81.  My goal is to mitigate the potential for transmission of COVID-19 in my home, my office and throughout the community and that requires full cooperation among myself and my clients.  Only through this cooperative effort can we establish and maintain the safety and health of each other.  I ask that you comply with all aspects of this COVID-19 Preparedness Plan. For my safety and the safety of my family, I reserve the right to cancel your appointment without notice if you choose not to comply.

The Plan addresses the following:
  1. Prompt identification and isolation of sick persons
  2. Social distancing
  3. Hygiene, hand washing and mask protocol
  4. Housekeeping – cleaning & disinfecting
  5. Communication between myself and my clients
Please self-monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19:
  1. Fever
  2. Cough
  3. Shortness of breath
  4. Chills
  5. Muscle pain
  6. Sore throat
  7. Fatigue
  8. Loss of taste or smell
  9. Congestion or runny nose
  10. Nausea/vomiting
  11. Diarrhea
Not everyone with COVID-19 has all these symptoms, and some people may not have any symptoms.

The following procedures are being implemented to assess client prior to entering my office at 1040 S. Hwy 3, Northfield MN.
  1. First and foremost - Please call me at 507.649.0580 if you or any family member residing with you is sick or experiencing symptoms.  I will cancel your appointment.  (No fee will be charged for appointments canceled in less than 24 hours)
  2. I will text you the day before your session with a prescreening questionnaire. If you answer yes to any of the questions we will reschedule without penalty.
  3. I ask you arrive on time – please call or text and let me know you are waiting in your car. This helps keep office traffic in the hallway and reception area clear.
  4. Once inside you will go to the restroom and wash your hands and come back to my room – I will than take your temperature with a touchless gauge to verify you are not over 100 degrees or have a fever.  (I will also be taking my own temperature before starting massage)
  5. Please wear a mask to the appointment.  I will be wearing a face mask and also a face shield during the massage.  I will not wear gloves, but will wash my hands/arms or use sanitizer like normal. 
***Prone position (face down) could be uncomfortable for clients who are wearing face masks. I will be draping the face cradle cover with a cotton pillowcase to create a contained hammock under the face cradle that could semi-effectively capture aerosols expelled by a client who is unable to comfortably wear a face mask during prone (face down) position.  When switching from face down to supine (face up), I will ask you to put your face mask on before you turn over.
***At this time I will no longer conduct facial massage.
     6.  Massage therapist will ask client CO-VID 19 health information and also sign a consent treatment form.
     7. After your session you will get dressed, open the door slightly and I will have you sanitize your hands before you leave.  

HANDWASHING
Basic infection prevention measures are always implemented at Tree of Life Healing LLC.  Upon entering, I ask that you wash your hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and water.  I will also wash my hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and water before starting your massage.   I will also have a hand-sanitizer dispenser in my office that can be used for hand hygiene at any time. (Hand sanitizer contains greater than 60% alcohol)

RESPIRATORY PROTOCOL
  1. Everyone will always be REQUIRED to wear a face covering or cloth mask before entering and during your massage.  There will be no exceptions.
  2. Avoid touching your face, in particular your mouth, nose, eyes, with your hands during your massage.
  3. I have a HEPA Air Purifier with Allergen Remover in my office to capture airborne contaminants in the air.

SOCIAL DISTANCING
Social distancing will be implemented to the best of my ability.  Obviously, massage requires touching which makes it impossible to stand six feet apart during your session.  In an attempt to minimize contact with others:
  1. I am increasing the time between clients to 30 to 45 minutes.  Please be on time for your appointment.  If you get here early, please wait in your car until I text you to come in or come out and get you.  This will help minimize interactions with others.
  2. I will also no longer be able to work past your scheduled appointment time.  This will allow me the appropriate amount of time to change sheets and clean and sanitize my office before the next client arrives.
  3. Also, as much as I want to catch-up with everyone, I ask that you not linger too long before or after your appointment.  This will be the hardest for me as I love hear about everything going on in your lives.  Feel free to call me anytime or email if you want to chat! 
  4. Finally, I ask that you leave all non-essential items at home or in your car.  (no water bottles, extra bags) You can however bring your purse in.  Less is more.  If you use a credit card, you can read the numbers off to me and I can enter them, you do not need to sign anything or I can request payment using PayPal using a phone number or email without having a PayPal account.

HOUSEKEEPING
Regular housekeeping practices are being implemented for a clean and safe environment.  This includes cleaning and disinfecting on work surfaces, equipment and tools.  Cleaning and disinfecting of high-touch areas will be conducted between each client.  I will be cleaning with disinfecting wipes, disinfecting spray and disposable paper towels.

​COMMUNICATIONS
I intend to be extremely transparent when communicating with my clients.  If exposure to a person with COVID-19 occurs, you will all be notified immediately.  However, due to HIPPA (privacy act), all client information will be held in strict confidence.  I will put up signs to remind clients of masking, hand hygiene and social distancing expectations.  I will be implementing a pre-screening questionnaire the day before your appointment and a COVID-19 Health Information & Informed Consent form at time your appointment.  If you need to reach me, please call or text me at 507.649.0580 or email me at cmpicha24@gmail.com.   Do not try to respond to my “Massagebook” reminders as it does not send me messages.
