WHAT EXACTLY IS THE EMOTION CODE?
The Emotion Code is a very simple approach designed to find emotional baggage (using muscle testing) and release it.  Our emotional baggage consists of actual energies of powerful emotional events that we have experienced that are still stuck in our physical bodies.  These energies (trapped emotions) alter the normal energy field of the body, creating pain, depression, anxiety and and so many other malfunctions.  

"The Emotion Code is an energy healing technique developed by Dr. Bradley Nelson that helps identify and literally release trapped emotions which are harmful emotional energies from negative past events.  Trapped emotions can cause depression, anxiety, they can block people from love and happiness and make them feel disconnected from others.  Trapped emotions are made from energy, just like the rest of the body, they exert an influence on the physical tissues, which can cause acute pain and even disease.  Releasing trapped emotions
makes conditions right for the body to heal so physical and emotional difficulties often disappear or become more manageable."

Releasing trapped emotions is not a cure-all.  The Emotion Code should not be used by itself in attempting to address any major disease of medical condition, but rather it should be looked as a complementary therapy.  When removing a trapped emotion the release will bring on a greater sense of peace, freedom, help take back control of your life, happier, less pain physically, emotionally and mentally.  Sometimes the release can be breathtaking or immediate, but most of the time the effects are more subtle or gradual.

Do you have trapped emotions? 
The ways in which we can acquire trapped emotions are many and varied. Basically anything that produces an intense uneasy feeling  within us can generate emotions that can become trapped within. Below is a list of circumstances that can produce trapped emotions.

Loss of a loved one 
Divorce or relationship problems 
Financial hardship 
Home or work stress 
Miscarriage or abortion 
Physical or emotional trauma 
Physical or emotional combat 
Physical, mental, verbal or sexual abuse
 
Negative self-talk 
Negative beliefs about yourself or others 
Long-term stress 
Rejection 
Physical illness 
Feelings of inferiority 
Internalization of feelings 
Neglect or abandonment


How do we find trapped emotions?  Muscle testing/Kinesiology 
The subconscious mind makes up approximately 90% of our brains. It is responsible for running and recording all the processes of our bodies, and keeping an exact history of every cell that is or ever was in the body. Because of this database in our minds, our subconscious mind, which is intricately connected to our bodies, can tell us if what we are eating, saying, thinking or doing are consistent with what is, and what the mind, body & spirit need. When  a statement is true, the body is strong.  When it is false, the body weakens.  For example, the statement, "My name is Colleen" is true, and my body is strengthened and resists physical pressure applied to my arm or my fingers. Conversely, when I say, "My name is Bob" my body is weakened and I cannot resist pressure applied to my arm, etc. This can be applied to Emotion Code work this way, "Is there a trapped emotion that can be released from me at this time?" If the body is strong when physical pressure is applied, then that indicates that yes, it is true, there is a trapped emotion that can be released at this time.

How does a session work?
All sessions are done remotely by email.  Don't worry if you are hesitant about doing a session that aren't in person, distance healing is as effective as an office appointment.  Muscle testing makes the connection energetically. I will simply connect to your energy field with your permission and act as "proxy" for you.  This means that I muscle test on myself in your behalf.  Proxy testing works quite a bit like how a cell phone works.  Our bodies have a built in way to easily "dial" someone else, create an energetic connection from them. Once you're connected, you can get answers about what is going on with other person's body, because you're picking up their energetic signal.  Then once you know what needs to be fixed, you can fix it on the proxy person and it corrects the problem on the person who you're intending to help no matter how far away they are.
How will I feel during and immediately after a session?
You may feel an energy shift like chills or goose-bumps, yawning, crying, nausea, feeling very relaxed. Most clients feel a sense of lightness, freedom and peace.  Some will experience what we call "processing symptoms", the body must process the energies that have been released.  These usually show up within 24 to 48 hours after a session.  They include such things as being more emotional, fatigue, headache, strange vivid dreams, brain-fog, and sleep pattern changes.  These symptoms are typically short lived and very normal.

How long before I will see results?
Each person’s experience with the Emotion Code is different – usually some results will be felt immediately, while with other issues the healing will be more subtle. Changes may be noted over a period of days or weeks. It is important to allow the body the time it needs to adjust to the changes. True healing is a process – a journey, and your body knows exactly what it needs to heal, and in what order it needs to release things. Your results will depend on how many imbalances you have and how quickly your body respond to the techniques.  It is so exciting when we get to the center of an issue and are able to resolve it once and for all for deep and lasting healing!
 The Emotion Code is like doing surgery on the energy body.  We are literally looking for harmful energies that need to be removed, then we remove them, and the energy body has to heal and reorganize to regain its balance.  ​ This is the body adjusting to the new energy alignment. Like peeling an onion, emotions come off in layers. When one layer of emotions is cleared another layer will surface for healing.   Drink lots of water, eat healthy, get lots of rest, and let your energy body heal itself. Listen to your body and be gentle with yourself if you are feeling worn out. Don’t push yourself, your body needs this time to recover.  You may not notice or experience any symptoms, you may even feel great, but it’s better to be aware just in case.
